This workbook is taken from the Finals of the 2012 Modeloff financial modeling world chamionships.

Follow the instructions in order to complete the model:

INTRODUCTION

Use the Excel spreadsheet that you have downloaded to answer the questions in this Section. Please note, there are deliberate errors in this model for you to identify.

These may be in the form of:

- Circulars
- Dragging errors
- Incorrect links
- Illogical formulas
- Incomplete formulas

IMPORTANT

For this section, you are required to progressively fix each error identified as you work through the questions in this section. You will need a correct model to answer the final two questions of this section.

This is a great tool to practice your problem solving skills and will help to improve your Excel modeling skills immensely. Practicing with this tool will help you to spot errors in your own, and others' work. As such, you will be in a better position to build fully functional models with no bugs or faults. This will also help you to understand how best to fix problems within models in an efficient way.

You will then be able to answer 20 questions about the errors that you have found within the workbook, the answers for which can be found on the final page of the PDF.

Allotted time: 40 minutes
