The Business Model Canvas

Your whole business model on just one page.

Description
Used globally by millions of people from companies of varying sizes. This canvas can be used to explain, challenge, pivot and design your business model.

This lean startup template and strategic management tool is based on Alex's earlier work on Business Model Ontology. It can be used to develop new business models, or to document business models that already exist.

The template is made up of 9 sections:

-Key Partners: what partners do we have that are essential for the success of the business?

-Key Activities: what do we do that is unique in order to deliver our value proposition?

-Key Resources: what assets must we have to compete with those in the market already?

-Value Propositions: what do we offer? why would customers use our product?

-Customer Relationships: how do we communicate with customers throughout their 'customer journey'?

-Channels: through what means do we promote, sell, and distribute our products?

-Customer Segments: who are our customers?

-Cost Structure: what are the costs we are going to incur while operating under this business model?

-Revenue Streams: how are we earning revenue from our value propositions?

This is a hands-on tool that will allow everyone on your team to brainstorm together and reflect on your business model as a whole so that in the end you can ask yourselves, does this make sense?
