Copy Outlook eMail to a local folder

The video will explain how to setup a macro in Outlook to copy an email to a local folder.

Description
The download is a text file which contains VBA code for an Outlook macro.

The following steps are described in the introduction video:

STEP 1 Create a macro in Outlook
The first part of the introduction video has explained how to setup the Developer Ribbon.
The Developer Ribbon is needed to enable you to create macros.
Once that Ribbon is visible you can create a new macro in Outlook.

STEP 2 Copy the VBA code in the macro
The second part of the introduction video explains how to copy the provided VBA code (in the text file) into Outlook so to complete the macro.

STEP 3 Setup a shortcut in Outlook to execute the macro
The third part of the introduction video explains how to setup a shortcut to execute the macro in Outlook. This shortcut enables you to copy an email to a local folder without having to go through the macros menu in Outlook.

STEP 4 Execute the macro in Outlook
The forth part of the introduction video explains how to run the macro and check that the Outlook email has been successfully copied in your local folder on your local drive.

This technique is used in TBOX Tower Excel File. In TBOX Tower, you can add a link to an email on a task of the Todolist. When open your Todolist and check the next task you need to do, you have automatically the link to the email related to the task. You can check out TBOX Tower in my Eloquens profile.
