FMM - Financial Model Map

Description
FMM is a excel add-in to generate a formulae map of the Financial Model which help in reviewing complex financial models. A separate workbook with map file for all the worksheets and a map summary is generated in which conditional formatting is applied to identify the changes in the formula patterns easily.

Even models built by skilled practitioners, frequently do contain errors (like inconsistent formulas in a row, external workbook links, adding hard coded numbers within formulas, using values instead of formulas in between the rows, #DIV/#NUM errors, etc.).

There are a number of professional products available that offer a suite of audit utilities to identify potential model errors (like Spreadsheet Detective, OAK). This tool is very useful tool in identifying such errors by comparing all the formulae used in a model. Three other summary worksheets are added along with map worksheets, one summary sheet which provides the list of number of unique formulas in all the worksheets of the financial model; second sheet provided a map legends for better understanding of the user on how to read the model map different formats and symbols; third worksheet provide the inter-sheets value flow summary.
This tool not only helps in reviewing the financial model but also helps in delivering error free model build engagements.
