Shareholders Agreement Template

A shareholder's agreement is used to formalize and regulate the relationship between shareholders within the confines of the business. The aim of the agreement is to explain the relationship between various shareholders, what they do, and what they own. This agreement should go hand in hand with the Articles of Association, and they should not in any way contradict, oppose, or make the other redundant.

Businesses present shareholder's agreements so that the shareholder's investment is protected, a fair relationship is established, rules are laid out in case of desire to transfer shares, everyone is clear on how potential disputes are to be resolved, and to state the course of events if a shareholder is to pass away.
