In the video, I speak about new market entry and with a particular focus on entering the Chinese market.

Description
In this video, I talk about the various steps that entrepreneurs can and should take when entering a new market. In the video, I speak about new market entry and with a particular focus on entering the Chinese market. In the video, I draw on my vast knowledge of business school experience and my over 20 years of entrepreneurship experience. In particular, I spent seven years managing a factory in China and a sales force in China (both remotely from Canada). In this role, I was working for a start up in the automotive manufacturing industry selling components to Ford, Chrysler, GM, and VW. In this role, I have entered the Chinese, Indian, Mexican, European, and North American markets. In the video, I speak about the challenges that I experienced and give tips on how these can be circumvented.

From my academic experience, I’m an associate professor of entrepreneurship and strategy in the Faculty of Business and Information Technology at Ontario Tech University. Prior to joining Ontario Tech University, I was an assistant professor at Nipissing University, Ryerson University, and Leibniz Universität Hannover. I also taught at the St. Petersburg Polytechinical University in Russia and the University of Bradford School of Management in Britain.
