Description
Project Charter – template & examples from a Private Label Project
To control a project you quite often need to create the so-called project charter, project card. This a great tool that helps you define what the project is about, what resources you need. You will also use It on daily basis as a Project Management to give tasks to team members and control whether they are delivering them according to deadlines. The Project Charter can be to some extent re-created in project management or task management tools. For simplicity, we will show you how to do it in Excel. You can find attached a template in Excel. To show you how you can use it in practice we have created a case study and we have filled in the Template so you can see how information from the case study can be presented in our template. We have been using it heavily during consulting projects devoted to implementation. You will find attached the following things:
1. Template of the project charter in Excel
2. Short summary of the case study, where you also show the scope definition, risks assessment, defining team, and frequency of meetings. In the case study, you work for a drugstore retail chain. The CEO of the firm wants to start a project devoted to Private Labels. The Management Board has decided to create its own private label line and the aim of the project is to make it happen.
3. Project Charter for the Private Label Project. Finally, we show the template filed in for the Private Label Project. We will use the information from the presentation
