Customer Retention Analytics template - a Power BI template that helps businesses analyze customer retention and churn rates over time. This template includes cohort analysis that shows retention rates by customer cohorts, that helps track retention rates of customers who made their first purchase during a specific period of time and comparing it to the retention rates of customers who made their first purchase during another period of time.

More about this template: This template employs the simple yet tricky concept of Cohort model using Sales transaction data. It utilizes DimDate, Period and Data (Fact) tables, and all the measures used in this template are listed separately.

How to update this template?
Step | 01 Use the Excel template provided in the files to update data or make sure your source data has following mandatory fields;
1. Invoice - Invoice or Transaction ID
2. SKU - Product or Item Code (Optional)
3. SKU-Description - Product or Item Description (Optional)
4. Quantity (Optional)
5. Price - Selling Price (Optional)
6. Country
7. Invoice Date - Document or Transaction Date
-- (Rest are calculated fields).
Step | 02 Update Data using Power BI Ribbon Menu > File > Option and Settings > Data Source Settings > Change Source. You can alternatively use Transform Data to update file.
Step | 03 Final step is to Refresh the dataset. Voila!

My product is a plug-and-play analytics template that simplifies the complex concept of analyzing and visualizing customer behavior and retention over time. With this template, you can group customers who share a common characteristic, such as the month they first made a purchase.

Data source is Power BI readable.

In absence of bare minimum data which includes (InvoiceID, Date, CustomerID).
Rest are either used for extended analysis or calculated fields.
