Helios Nexum™ is an Excel financial modelling framework built for hybrid solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. 

Unlike traditional static models, it integrates an 8760-hour energy simulation engine directly with a structured project finance framework — enabling analysts to evaluate how real operational behaviour drives investment returns.

The model simulates hourly solar generation, battery charge and discharge dispatch, grid export constraints, and curtailment scenarios, then translates those outputs into a full suite of financial metrics: IRR, NPV, DSCR, LLCR, CFADS, and revenue breakdowns. A dedicated capital structure module supports debt sizing, mezzanine, and equity allocation.

The Pro Edition connects live to leading energy data sources — including PVGIS, ENTSO-E, Elexon, NESO, and EIA — for location-specific solar irradiance, electricity market prices, and grid data, eliminating manual data entry and ensuring inputs reflect current market conditions.
