A real-time stock tracking dashboard that displays daily trading data and key metrics for companies across India, USA, and UK markets.

Description
The Stock Market Dashboard is a comprehensive, interactive Excel workbook designed to provide real-time stock market data and trading metrics for publicly listed companies across three major global financial markets: India (National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange), United States (NASDAQ and New York Stock Exchange), and United Kingdom (London Stock Exchange).

Purpose and Use Cases
This dashboard serves multiple purposes for different types of users. Individual investors can use it to track their portfolio holdings, monitor daily price movements, and identify potential buying or selling opportunities based on price trends. Financial analysts can leverage the tool for quick company lookups, comparative analysis, and preliminary research before diving into more detailed financial statements. Students and educators in finance and business programs can utilize this dashboard as a practical learning tool to understand stock market mechanics, price volatility, and trading patterns. Day traders and active investors benefit from the real-time price updates, intraday high-low ranges, and volume indicators that help assess market sentiment and liquidity.

Data Coverage and Sources
The workbook contains an extensive database of over 11,800 companies across all three supported markets. The Indian market section includes companies listed on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), covering sectors ranging from information technology giants like Infosys and TCS to manufacturing companies like Tata Steel and BEML Limited. The United States section encompasses thousands of companies listed on NASDAQ and NYSE, from technology leaders like Apple, Microsoft, and Google to financial institutions, healthcare companies, and industrial conglomerates. The United Kingdom section covers companies listed on the London Stock Exchange, including multinational corporations, banking institutions, and resource companies.

All stock data is sourced through Microsoft's integrated financial data service, which aggregates information from multiple reliable financial data providers. This ensures accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of the displayed information. The data typically reflects the most recent trading session, with prices updating automatically when the workbook is opened or when selections are changed.

Key Features and Functionality

The dashboard is organized into two primary data sections. The Daily Trading Data section (highlighted in blue) displays essential intraday metrics including the opening price at market open, closing price at market close, the highest price reached during the trading session, the lowest price of the day, total volume of shares traded, and the monthly high and low prices for broader trend context. The Key Metrics section (highlighted in orange) provides calculated insights such as the intraday price range (formatted as low-high for quick reference), absolute price change in the local currency, percentage change from open to close, a volume indicator classifying trading activity as Low, Medium, or High, the trading currency (INR, USD, or GBP), the stock exchange where the company is listed, and the date of the last available trading data.

Limitations and Considerations
Users should be aware that stock data is subject to standard market delays and may not reflect real-time tick-by-tick prices. Some smaller or newly listed companies may have incomplete data. Weekend and holiday data will reflect the last trading day's closing values. The dashboard requires an active internet connection.
