Description
To win a consulting project you have to create a proposal for the project you are trying to sell. The proposal is sometimes put in the form of a Word document but most often consulting firm create a presentation. Those presentations describe the approach to the project, the team that will conduct the project, the relevant experience of the consulting firm and the team members and obviously the price. You will there also some information on the team structure and the timeline.

Sometimes you can also put additional information showing how deliverables (end-products) of the project will look like. Such a presentation can be pretty lengthy (up to 200 slides) but in most cases you create a presentation that has on average 30-50 slides. Such proposals are being discussed with the potential customers during 1-3 hour presentation and later on modified, to include the feedback of the Project Sponsor and the future Steering Committee. This discussion-modification cycle can be repeated even up to 5-7 times. It is much longer with bigger firms as there are many layers of decision makers that have to give their feedback and put their stamp of approval on the project.
