How To Email Early Stage Investors

Advice on how to email investors at the early stages of your fundraising process.

Description
Michael Seibel is an early stage investor. He enjoys seeing startups succeed and likes to help them out. Whether Y Combinator acts as an investor or not, Michael still likes to advise or introduce helpful connections if possible.

The objective of sending emails to investors is to make them aware of your current state and how they might be able to help you.

Michael's Perspective:

Each day he receives a ton of emails. Out of all of these emails, only a fraction will need to be read, and even smaller fraction will be replied to. The small amount of emails that are replied to are generally the shorter ones, as Michael is a busy man and does not have the time to be reading and responding to lengthy emails.

In order to increase your response rates and speed up your time waiting for a reply, Michael has included in his PDF:
-an email framework
-an exemplar email
-common mistakes.
