The balanced scorecard is a performance measurement tool that is used by managers in strategic managers to identify and improve several internal functions of a business that in turn improves the external outcomes. It also is used to measure and provide feedback to organisations. Collecting data is vital to providing quantitative results because the information gathered is interpreted by managers and used to make better organisational decisions.
