How to Stay Ahead of the Game as a UX Designer

This video explains how to stay relevant in the new digital era of design.

Description
When Jonathan Courtney, co-founder of AJ&Smart set up his business in 2011, UX design was very misunderstood. He spent the next few years explaining to clients (and himself) what UX design actually was and why it was so valuable. He found it extremely difficult to hire good UX designers due to the fact that there was nowhere to learn the requirements for progressing in the digital product world.

The UX designer role was a combination of many older jobs, such as IT architect, integration designer plus many others. These designers were in huge demand, and UX design proved to be a competitive advantage for businesses that jumped on board.

Skipping to 2017, UX is a well-established, part of the product process. There are things that were not around in 2010 that UX designers have today. But nowadays there are ways you can make yourself a more valuable designer.

There are 3 ways you can do this which are discussed further in the video.
