Demo Day is approaching for Y Combinator. The focus is to prepare businesses as well as possible for the presentations they have to make on stage, but another point of focus is to work on decks that are slightly longer and can be used in follow-up meetings with investors.

It seemed that there was a deck template missing that clearly laid out how founders should best relay their stories throughout the slides. The pitch deck here shows how Aaron believes companies should make their seed decks. Although the main objective for this template is a business to raise its seed round, the deck isn't dissimilar to the best practices for a Series A pitch deck, which will be coming out soon.

The main point to think about here is that entrepreneurs should aim for concision and clarity. This isn't the time to write a memoir about world philosophy or your market. The basic truth is that there's not a lot of meaningful detail to poke around for the majority of seed stage companies. When founders make up that there is, stories get mixed up and investors get confused.

Your aim should be to concentrate on the narrative and the remainder should be commentary.
