Financial model template for a hotel business. The hotel industry is the section of the service industry that deals with guest accommodation or lodgings. By most definitions, the hotel industry refers not only to hotels, but also to many other forms of overnight accommodation, including hostels, motels, inns and guest houses. The model uses a detailed breakdown of revenue streams, direct costs and indirect costs to estimate operating assumptions on a per room/guest, % of revenue and growth basis. All the fixed assets, current assets and liabilities are calculated to correctly ascertain financial position and solvency of the business. The model then uses Break-even analysis, Scenario analysis, ratio analysis and Discounted cash-flow.
