Project Phases Timeline Slide Template

In my experience as Director of Development and Chief of Staff at Wimi, I was asked to manage as PMO a large scale financing project (>10M €), and prepare all the necessary documents and deck for our presentation to be selected by the bank's commitee. One of the key slides of the PowerPoint deck, was presenting in a highly condensed visualisation, the key phases of our project (grouping deliverables in each phase).

After having tried many different formats, I came to the simple visualiation that you can observe in this template. It's level of simplicty to quickly visualise what we had to plan over the next 4 years was appreciated, by my management, our project partners and the selection committee.  

Of course, more detailed and analytical slides on each of the deliverables and phases, were also created in the same deck. This slide must be used as summary, but is by far completely exhaustive.

To use this slide please follow the following 10 step methodology:

1/ Read + Understand the Structure & Theory of Project Management Timelines
2/ List your Deliverables
3/ Add an illustration for each of your Deliverables
4/ Input the YEARS of the project (you can add more if you want)
5/ List the PHASES of the project (you can add more if you want)
6/ Adjust the PHASE boxes sizes (according to the number of phases and deliverables per phase)
7/ Adjust the position and length for each deliverable (based on start and end dates)
8/ Add your comments and insights to your Project Timeline (spot important points of focus, and risks)
9/ Change and accordingly
10/ Change your Slide Title, Logo, Footer & Sources based on your analysis
