Fixed Asset Depreciation Calculator Pro β€” SL, DB & DDB | 50 Assets | Dashboard | Excel

Three depreciation methods, 50 assets, a live dashboard, and a Power Query report. Audit-ready. Built by a GCC CFO with 19 years of real register experience.

Description
PURPOSE:Β  Β A real finance department does not run one depreciation method. It runs two β€” IFRS book depreciation for financial reporting and a separate tax depreciation calculation under local rules β€” and those registers drift apart every year. This template keeps them together.

The Pro Edition calculates SL, Declining Balance (DB), and Double Declining Balance (DDB) simultaneously across 50 assets, with a live management dashboard and a Power Query output table designed for direct Power BI connection.

THE THREE METHODS:
Β Straight Line (SL): Equal charge every period. (Cost minus Salvage Value) divided by Useful Life in months. Use for buildings, fixtures, and leasehold improvements.

Declining Balance (DB): Fixed percentage of the opening book value each period. Opening BV multiplied by (DB Factor divided by Useful Life in years) divided by 12. Use for machinery, vehicles, and GCC or Indian tax asset blocks that require WDV-style depreciation.

Double Declining Balance (DDB): Most aggressive method. The rate is exactly double the straight-line rate applied to the opening book value. Use for IT equipment, servers, and assets that become functionally obsolete before the end of their technical useful life.
