Startup Investment Valuation Excel Model

Valuation Excel Model for Startups, created to help you understand the process of raising funds from investors.

Description
Startup Valuation Tool: is a table designed for analyzing ownership percentages over successive investment stages of a growing startup.

You may input values into the sections that are highlighted in yellow, and the tool calculates the other values in the table.

The key values that you must enter into the "Private Investment Calculator" worksheet are:

"Amount of Raise" -- This is amount of funds projected to to be raised at each investment round.

"% Equity Given" -- At each investment round, you must determine how much equity will be allocated to the new investor/s.

"% of Round" -- This is short for "Percentage of the Investor's Contribution in each Round". For each investment round, rows are available for six different investors. NOTE: The sum of the investor percentages must equal 100. If not, you will have incorrect values for the other metrics on the spreadsheet. The number of investors - six - is arbitrary, and would normally be unknown for future rounds. Insert zeros if there are less than six investors, or rows can be deleted.

Shareholders - - For each round, starting from the Founder Round, you can edit the list of shareholders/investors participating in the round.

Note: This tool is for estimating values in the future, to give you indications on how much money you need to raise, how equities get affected, how dilution happens, and to be aware on the total valuation of each round and for each shareholder.
