They're a powerful and 'simple' visual way to demonstrate changes over a certain time period. It can be really difficult to present variances using lots of numbers of on an excel spreadsheet if you're not talking to other 'numbers' people. This does not take you through step-by-step how to build an excel waterfall chart, but instead provides a template with 2 examples so that you can adjust as required.
