Plan out your expected payroll costs over time, including inputs for payroll taxes and benefits across 20 departments, 45 slots per department.

Description
My thought process here was to make a robust tool that allows for ample headcounts of employees over time. The user will input the personnel description/name, start date, starting base salary, payroll taxes and benefits rate, and annual increase in salary for each department. The model then shows the total monthly and annual payroll costs based on these inputs.

The user can also enter their expected payroll budget per month and see how that compares to the personnel plan. A visualization is included to make this more digestible. The data has been aggregated on a monthly and annual basis by department. There is an easy on/off switch to turn each department on or off.

I've included a section for summarizing headcounts as well and that section has its own visualizations for counts by department over time.

In general, the forecasting model is simple to use and provides a clear view of your businesses expected payroll costs for up to 20 years out in time. This is one of the largest costs to many industries and so it deserves to have its own tracking spreadsheet in my opinion.
