In my last video I talked about the problems sometimes occurring with teams in having employees participate and take actions towards an improvement goal.

So I've created a commitment form which can be used for this situation and many others as well when there's a problem with commitment. Now, sometimes it's a problem with managing schedules to attend meetings, or it's just changing a habit in order to take action towards a specific performance improvement or a team goal.

So, putting things in writing really solidifies that commitment from the employee and enables you as the leader or the manager to follow-up on what that commitment is. So, this form really is a collaborative approach. It's not to be used to discipline somebody, but when you have an employee or team member that is collaborating, that's willing to or understands the importance of putting things in writing, because all commitments we make in life..."
