“Split-Plus-Total” Chart

Description
This chart is an excellent visual tool showing, for example, total sales revenues or units sold by year broken down into products, geographies, regions and so on.
Unlike stacked column charts typically used for that, this chart shows the elements clustered on horizontal axis. Positioning them on the same line makes them easier to compare between each other within the same year (e.g. current assets against long-term assets) and over time (every category).
